What's In Your Hand?
God summoned Moses through a regular everyday occurrence but with a supernatural twist. It was a common thing to see a bush burning in the wilderness. But this was different. The bush burned. It burned bright. It burned heavy but it was never consumed.
I believe that Moses witnessed what we as anointed, spiritual and godly writers witness. God allows us to see what others see on a daily basis but with a twist. We are allowed to see what others miss. Christians writers are seers by design. We point out what others miss. We see the significance in what others deem insignificant...even invisible and yet when they are shown what they could never have seen without us, they stand in awe at the revelation, the insight and the tedious unraveling only an anointed writer is able to do.
Often because writers face so many obstacles, giving up is something the Enemy of our souls would love for us to do. Satan would love nothing more than to see you close up your laptop, throw out your manuscripts, ideas, blogs, journals, thoughts and notes and just retire your pen. Moses felt like giving up before he even tried. Is that how you are feeling now? Moses gave God every possible excuse as to why he was the wrong person for the task. The twists and turns your life has taken have not been for naught. The bumpy and arduous trail you have had to forge will bless someone if you would but make and take the time to pen your story. The fantasies, the dreams, the nightmares, the visions, the wit, the sarcasm, the passion, the mistakes, the triumphs and yes even that vivid imagination of yours was given to you for a purpose, with purpose on purpose.
Scratch it out. Peck it out. Talk it out into a recorder. Type it out. Write it out. But whatever you do, don't stop writing. Your pen is connected to you...not just to your hand but to your soul, your spirit, your mind and it is connected to God's spirit, His heart and His mind. A revival is waiting in your pen - release it. A play and a script is waiting in your pen that will change the world...start changing the world with your pen. Histories and HERStories are waiting to be upheld, respected and cherished but they never will be unless you release the ink in your pen. Ink in the pen of an anointed vessel is oil to the Body of Christ and convicting and converting power to a world of unbelievers. You can preach with your pen. Your pen can heal, deliver, set free, empower, enlighten and educate.
It has oft been said that the pen is mightier than the sword. It is because one person can sit in the privacy of their heart and write and what is written can start a revolution, kill hatred, obliterate injustice, change minds, change hearts, change perspectives and change lives.
Dear writer, God is asking you the same thing he asked Moses, "What's in your hand?" You can write until wrong becomes right, so write. You can write healing into the heart of the broken so write. You can write laughter and joy into the despondent and cast down, so write. WHAT'S IN YOUR HAND? There is power in your hand. Release it....TODAY!

A precious SINGLE sister just wrote me and told me that she was LONELY and that she felt like she was going crazy. People will often make light of your desire to have a spouse...tell those knuckleheads that GOD and I said for them to MIND THEIR BUSINESS!
For those of you that are single and satisfied, don't let anyone tell you that you need to be married. To be single means to be whole, complete and lacking nothing. Singleness is powerful and those that are single have the wonderful opportunity of having their attention in undivided heavenward direction. You are the first to have your petitions granted because your affections are towards Him always so His blessings fall on your first.
For those who desire a spouse, know that this is an honorable desire.
I promise to pray for you but don't ever settle. My twin brother Le Roy told me something that changed my life when I was single. He said, "Something is not always better than nothing."
WOW!
Ladies, you want more than breath in britches. You want someone who loves you, loves God, prays for you, respects you and likes you. You want someone who will love on you real hard and someone who doesn't mind you loving yourself.
Sis make sure that you celebrate you.
If he isn't head over heels about you - he isn't for you. You are a Star. Learn to love your laugh, your personality, your strength, your beauty, your opinions, your perspectives, your high intelligence, your style and your heart. You have gone through a lot but it didn't kill you. You were hurt, crushed and bruised but you were not destroyed. When love is coming, I wish I could say. If I knew where he was I would go and bring him to you. I mean that with all of my heart. I will say, that until Boaz comes, keep styling and profiling. Keep strutting! Keep looking fly and smelling good. Keep smiling. Keep laughing. Keep loving God and keep loving yourself. You are a dazzling personality. A lovely woman with a big heart. Stand strong. When you feel like crying, give yourself permission and time to cry but then wipe your eyes, throw your head back, put your gear on, hook your hair up, look as fly as you wanna and step like you own the whole wide world because you do.

YOU CAN’T AFFORD ME!

YOU CAN'T AFFORD ME!
What an awesome joy and responsibility it is to be called of the Lord into the ministry. To have the responsibility of clearly hearing the voice of God and to then clearly articulate His heart to the heart of all those under the sounds of their voice. The people who have taken on this honor and weight are held to a higher standard of excellence and rightly so. To whom much is given much is required!
It is because we are bond-servants of the Most High and because we know that our lives, walks, words and deeds are held to a higher level of accountability by both Heaven and earthlings that we have to guard the oil in us and on us at all costs. It is also because we are the messengers of God that we cannot afford to allow ourselves to become parts of cliques. Messengers are very friendly people who have friends because they show themselves friendly but they are also people who spend much time on Patmos and in prayer to receive the revelation of Christ because people who don't spend time alone with their God and with their thoughts are doomed to become spineless mindless members of the pack who react instead of act; follow instead of lead; repeat what THEY said instead of hearing and speaking what HE said. Our times alone in quietness and in study are what empties us so that we can purely pour out what Heaven is speaking and not our thoughts or opinions. It is because we are the messengers of God that we can never stop preaching the Gospel of Christ - no matter whose toes the Gospel (not gospel messenger) steps on. We can never allow ourselves to be intimidated because we are afraid to lose an appointment, a pat on the back from those who would seem to be the movers and shakers on the ministry circuit. We should shew forth honor to those who have the rule over us but if the choice is ever to obey an ungodly ruling from those that are in the upper echelon of the episcopal order because they have promised to open doors, platforms and venues to us or to obey God, it is always vital that we obey God. It is the Lord who sets before the called open doors. It is the Lord.
It is because the Lord is the opener of the door and because He is the Door that our allegiance must be to Him first and foremost. If you are given the choice to live right or to compromise in order to advance your circle of ministry contacts, live right. If you are given the choice to live for God or to live one thing but preach another, choose rather to live a consistent life for God. If you are given the choice to preach a watered down, weakened or anorexic version of the Gospel in order to obtain membership with those who promise to promote your name and popularize your ministry, choose anonymity and preach the Gospel. If you are given the choice to flow under the pure power of the anointing of God or to sit in front of a tape, dvd or computer to imitate the anointing and flow of someone else, choose to flow in the pure oil of God. If you are given the choice to be the one that doesn't look like the choice because you have been praying among the sheep instead of being a palace dweller that couldn't get the oil in the ram's horn to flow even with the laws of gravity working in your favor, choose to pray among the sheep.
The reason you must make this choice is because you have been bought with a price. You have been purchased with the Blood of Christ. It is because you have been bought and because it is your assignment in the earth realm to wash every one, in every land, of every tongue that you have to look Satan, his demon cohorts and any and everyone who would urge and encourage you to compromise, quit or fail that you can't. My anointing, my integrity, my ministry, my life, my assignment, my mantle and my name are not for sale.
If you bow down I will give you....
Sound familiar?
Satan tried this same ploy with Christ in the wilderness. Each time Christ was confronted with an illegal, sinful promise of promotion from Satan, He rejected the offer with an "IT IS WRITTEN". He concludes the rebuttal and rebuke of Satan with a "Get thee hence".
Because of Christ's example, we now know that the way up is down. He taught us by His example that if one would humble themselves that the end result of that humbling would be glory. He went through so much so that we could be reconciled to the Father. It is a priceless gift. It is a priceless gift to be called to share the story of His great sacrifice and love. Since the Blood is so priceless and the oil that is on the called is so priceless why would anyone of us ever even think of selling God, the Blood, the message or the call of God to holiness, integrity and honor short? Better still, why would we ever think about selling out to get in with people who are not in with God anyway?
The anointing that is on you is too special to ever lose. Tell the Devil that because God is in you that you are too expensive. Tell Hell, "YOU CAN'T AFFORD ME!"

GET OUT OF THE PULPIT!
GET OUT OF THE PULPIT?
Is this a note urging us to take the Gospel out of our four walls?
Is this a Word encouraging us to take the Gospel to the Nations?
Is this a clarion call to take it to the streets?
While these posturings are definitely the call of God, NO, I am not writing to tell you to take the Gospel to the Lost. My purpose in sitting down to the computer today is a far more urgent one.
I have had conversations with a few preachers that are coming on behind me. I came across some disturbing things:
1. Profanity.
2. Cigar/cigarette smoking
3. Drinking/drug activity
4. Clubbing/partying
5. Immorality (sexual perversion, lust, pornography addictions, lewdness, homosexuality, free love)
6. Worldly attire, compromise, blatant sin.
7. Ungodly/unholy/unhealthy conversations, writing and communications.
They were impeccable in their pulpit attire. They are well studied. All have attended or are attending the best seminaries in the world and yet their lives and lifestyles do in no way reflect the beautiful garments they wear in the pulpit.
IT IS NOT DRESS UP TIME! IT IS NOT PLAY TIME! For years people have said, "It's time out for playing!" Guess what? THERE NEVER HAS BEEN TIME FOR PLAYING...not in the past, not now, not in the future. STOP IT! People are looking at you. They are tripping over of your sloppy lifestyle. They are falling over your false walk. They are being hurt by your hypocritical stance. Be hot or cold. This lukewarm lifestyle is not just breaking the hurt of God, you are helping Satan send countless to Hell. You are deceiving yourself if you think no one minds your double standard of do what I say but not what I do. NO ONE ELSE IS BEING FOOLED! Not the folks you are messing with. Not the folks you are messing over. Not the folks you are messing up. Definitely NOT GOD! The only person you are fooling is YOU!
This is not a masquerade ball. This is not a joke. It is not a life or lifestyle to be entered into because it looks like a glamorous vocation to follow. The vast majority of what the truly called of God are called to do is not glamorous at all. To the young preachers coming on the scene, being a preacher or a sacred leader in the church of Jesus Christ is not child's play. It befuddles, hurts and yes at times enrages me that so many know so much about sacred vestments but no nothing about the stripping off one must do to first become a Christian and then the greater call of stripping called for to become a preacher of the Cross. There are so many wonderful careers you can have and not have to have the expectation of God, the church or the world to live a holy, sacred or sanctified life. If you are preaching and sinning just stop preaching until you have made a full commitment to stop sinning. You can be anything in the world but to be a preacher or a sacred leader in the church of Christ YOU MUST LIVE HOLY!
Preachers if you are not living what the Bible requires, guess what? You are NOT a preacher -- just a well dressed, well vested living breathing walking talking lie, foul smelling hypocrite and a divinely dressed fraudulent lying sinning hypocrite.
Get right, get yourself right or get out of the pulpit.
REPENT OR RETHINK YOUR CAREER CHOICE!
Heartbroken over the well dressed but unholy among us pretending to be Holy!

SIDE-SWIPED!

(Not going to be long today but I do have a lot of writing to catch up on. Much is in my heart, on my mind and in my spirit. Haven't been on because my computer CRASHED!)
SIDE-SWIPED!
There is a missionary that comes on everyday. I like her because she is always upbeat, optimistic, adventurous, courageous and always out to accomplish something.
Her name? DORA THE EXPLORER :-)
(Does it show I have young children? GOOD!)
Anywhoo....each day Dora before Dora leaves to go ANYWHERE she puts on her backpack and before she leaves to go ANYWHERE she always asks the map for specific directions to her destination.
Dora never goes alone, she always travels with Boots. As she and Boots begin their journey they always tell us to help them look out for Swiper the Fox because he is out to steal their stuff. We are told that when we see him that we ought to say, "Swiper no swiping! Swiper no swiping! Swiper no swiping!" as he makes his approach and viewers the world over join in the chorus to stop Swiper from stealing Dora's stuff. 99..9% of the time our collective rebuke works on the sneaky Swiper....
BUT....
Every now and then, Swiper makes his approach from an angle no one could or would ever predict and despite all of our efforts to stop Swiper from stealing Dora's gift, we see him run away with Dora's stuff. Dora has a three choices at this moment in time. She can:
1. Try to go on to her destination WITHOUT her gift and her stuff.
2. Quit and go home.
3. Regain her composure, reclaim her gift before it is in her hands, make the courageous decision to chase Swiper and then ask us to join her in her hot pursuit to recover all.
The reason why I admire Dora so much is because no matter what she lost, she always decides to chase Swiper to get her stuff back and the reason she can gain everything back is because of the way she started her journey.
Let's review:
1. She never embarks on any mission without first putting on her backpack.
2. She never goes anywhere without asking the map for specific directions.
3. She never goes alone.
The backpack is Jesus. All that you need is in Jesus. He satisfies. Joy He supplies. Life would be worthless without Him. All things in Jesus I find. Watch Dora, the reason she never leaves without her backpack is because as she is going along her journey, different needs and different crises arise but she knows that she will never confront anything that isn't ALREADY inside of the backpack. HELP IS RIDING ON HER BACK AT ALL TIMES!
The Word of God tells us to put on the whole armour of God. It is interesting to note that the armour covers everything but the back. The older saints always told us that this was because we were never to turn our backs to the Enemy. No one ever told us that sometimes people and situations just might sneak up on us and stab us in the back due to no fault of our own. I think Dora is a maverick because she has something covering her back...and you know what, we do too. Goodness and Mercy are following us. God has our back. Yes, even when life and people stab us in the back but even at those times, HELP IS YET RIDING AND RESTING RIGHT ON OUR BACKS.
The Map is the Word of God. Never make any moves without checking the map for specific directions. Every problem, trauma, drama, pain, heartache and hardship has an answer in the Word of God.
Never go anywhere alone. Jesus said, "Lo I am with you alway"... He is with us always....in the highs but especially in the LOWS!
In an age that seems only to teach Kingdom wealth, dominion and economic empowerment, there are countless at this time of great economic uncertainty, countless that are facing incurable diseases and countless that are facing nightmarish heartaches and disasters that are being led to feel that they are not the chosen of God simply because their lives have been hit from an angle no one could have ever predicted. They are sitting in our congregations and they are laying in hospitals unministered to. A few a jumping while countless are suffering, bleeding and hurting not because they have sinned....they are hurting because despite their righteous lives, they have been SIDE-SWIPED by Hell herself!
To those of you who are reading this blog at the place of heartbreak, from a bleeding place, from a place of utter calamity, from a hospital bed and from a place you never expected or intended to be, I have come to let you know that your being SIDE-SWIPED by SWIPER isn't the end of your story! Right where you are with tears in your eyes, pain in your body, anguish in your heart and soul, turmoil and perplexities bombarding your mind and calamity surrounding your life that God wants you to decide today to go and get your stuff back. You may look like someone who has been hit but go after Swiper anyway. You may move like someone that has been hit hard by Swiper but go after your stuff anyway. I know you have been SIDE-SWIPED by the Enemy of your soul, family, destiny, health, finances, marriage, ministry and/or joy but know this, when you decide to go after the Amalekites, the Amorites, the Jebusites or any of those demonic PARASITES that have come to destroy, ravage and destroy you and that which you love that OMNIPOTENT God, the host of heaven, Michael the war-faring angel and the host of war-faring angels and ministering angels, the cloud of angels, the God of Heaven, your Saviour Jesus Christ, The resurrection power of Christ Jesus and the Dunamis Power of the Holy Ghost along with all of us who know and love you along with people who don't know you but are praying the world over for you are going with you as you go to get your stuff back.
Truth is, any of us can be SIDE-SWIPED! What we decide to do the moment after we have been hit decides whether we lose or fail in life. I urge and encourage you to choose to be like Dora and chase Swiper until victory is yours.

You can be good...just don’t be GREAT!

You can be good...just don't be GREAT!
I just want you to know that many of the people that will be used of God to open a door for you will be happy to have been used of God to be the agent of breakthrough and blessing but be warned...some will be angry after they have of a surety been used of God to lift your life and walk to heights unknown.
The same can be said for those who say they want to serve in the ministry of helps for the man or woman of God.
Why serve as the water bearer if you only want to poison the water?
Why be an armourbearer if you will only use your close proximity to the anointed of God to stab them at your first chance? If you are truly a Brutus or a Judas why feign loyalty?
Why offer to help a minister or ministry if you really don't want the minister to be a blessing?
I truly believe that some people will offer to help you achieve your dreams because they only want you to be good...mediocre at best.
If they knew that you would take that one moment in time to not just swing at the ball but knock it out of the park, they never would have invited you to the MAJORS!
Windows of opportunity are only open for short periods of time. If a PHENOMENAL DOOR opens for you, RUN don't walk but RUN through it!
Carpe Diem!
Seize the day!
Even if the person who opened the door doesn't expect you to be GREAT and to be forever beholden to them, Today, I urge and encourage you to be GREAT ANYWAY!
Your God is a Great God - BE JUST LIKE HIM!

HALF DONE PEOPLE WILL THEMSELVES SICK!

Ever cut open food that was beautifully brown on the outside but raw and running on the inside?
Jonah was a mighty prophet of God...
He was mighty as long as he was prophesying to people who looked like him but when he was given one of ministry's greatest honors which was to go PREACH to strange people in a strange land about the one and true living God, he ran away from the assignment of his life.
THE OPPORTUNITY TO PREACH UNTIL CONVICTION & CONVERSION TOOK HOLD!
Jonah preached to the people of Ninevah. It was a powerful revival! But after, the prophet didn't want "the preached to" to be delivered.
WHAT?!?!?!?
He wanted the message to be heard but not heeded.
He wanted the platform for the sake of the platform, not for the real purpose of preaching which is the altar call where men's lives could forever be altered.
One of my instructors, Bishop Kenneth O. Robinson taught us, "The message isn't completed until THE AFTERWORK is done!"
AFTERWORK = ALTAR WORK!
Why PREACH if the purpose isn't to
PREACH to
REACH
EACH
The people of Ninevah were UNDONE!
That is BAD!
Jonah was HALF DONE!
That's WORSE!
God wants EVERYONE TO BE SAVED!
God wants EVERYONE TO BE DELIVERED!
God wants EVERYONE TO BE FREE!
Atheists, agnostics, witches, warlocks, hardheaded, rough necks, gang bangers, thugs, girls and boys gone wild, stiff-necked, and sinners of every shape and size are just who God wants!
PROPHETS have to prophesy and PREACH. If you don't want them to be saved then please tell God and me "WHY ARE PREACHING?"
God is calling for a people that will PREACH to NINEVAH and REALLY want to see them be saved, healed, free and delivered.
If you are just preaching because you had a bad fiery rebuking experience in the belly of a fish and you are just doing what you are doing because you feel you HAVE to to save YOUR OWN NECK not because YOU WANT TO to save THE SOUL OF OTHERS you are HALF DONE and in the end you will only make yourself sick!

If you are given the choice to live for God or to live one thing but preach another, choose rather to live a consistent life for God. If you are given the choice to preach a watered down, weakened or anorexic version of the Gospel in order to obtain membership with those who promise to promote your name and popularize your ministry, choose anonymity and preach the Gospel. If you are given the choice to flow under the pure power of the anointing of God or to sit in front of a tape, dvd or computer to imitate the anointing and flow of someone else, choose to flow in the pure oil of God. If you are given the choice to be the one that doesn't look like the choice because you have been praying among the sheep instead of being a palace dweller that couldn't get the oil in the ram's horn to flow even with the laws of gravity working in your favor, choose to pray among the sheep.
The reason you must make this choice is because you have been bought with a price. You have been purchased with the Blood of Christ. It is because you have been bought and because it is your assignment in the earth realm to wash every one, in every land, of every tongue that you have to look Satan, his demon cohorts and any and everyone who would urge and encourage you to compromise, quit or fail that you can't. My anointing, my integrity, my ministry, my life, my assignment, my mantle and my name are not for sale.

Satan tried this same ploy with Christ in the wilderness. Each time Christ was confronted with an illegal, sinful promise of promotion from Satan, He rejected the offer with an "IT IS WRITTEN". He concludes the rebuttal and rebuke of Satan with a "Get thee hence".
Because of Christ's example, we now know that the way up is down. He taught us by His example that if one would humble themselves that the end result of that humbling would be glory. He went through so much so that we could be reconciled to the Father. It is a priceless gift. It is a priceless gift to be called to share the story of His great sacrifice and love. Since the Blood is so priceless and the oil that is on the called is so priceless why would anyone of us ever even think of selling God, the Blood, the message or the call of God to holiness, integrity and honor short? Better still, why would we ever think about selling out to get in with people who are not in with God anyway?
The anointing that is on you is too special to ever lose. Tell the Devil that because God is in you that you are too expensive. Tell Hell, "YOU CAN'T AFFORD ME!"

GET OUT OF THE PULPIT?
Is this a note urging us to take the Gospel out of our four walls?
Is this a Word encouraging us to take the Gospel to the Nations?
Is this a clarion call to take it to the streets?
While these posturings are definitely the call of God, NO, I am not writing to tell you to take the Gospel to the Lost. My purpose in sitting down to the computer today is a far more urgent one.
I have had conversations with a few preachers that are coming on behind me. I came across some disturbing things:
1. Profanity.
2. Cigar/cigarette smoking
3. Drinking/drug activity
4. Clubbing/partying
5. Immorality (sexual perversion, lust, pornography addictions, lewdness, homosexuality, free love)
6. Worldly attire, compromise, blatant sin.
7. Ungodly/unholy/unhealthy conversations, writing and communications.
They were impeccable in their pulpit attire. They are well studied. All have attended or are attending the best seminaries in the world and yet their lives and lifestyles do in no way reflect the beautiful garments they wear in the pulpit.
IT IS NOT DRESS UP TIME! IT IS NOT PLAY TIME! For years people have said, "It's time out for playing!" Guess what? THERE NEVER HAS BEEN TIME FOR PLAYING...not in the past, not now, not in the future. STOP IT! People are looking at you. They are tripping over of your sloppy lifestyle. They are falling over your false walk. They are being hurt by your hypocritical stance. Be hot or cold. This lukewarm lifestyle is not just breaking the hurt of God, you are helping Satan send countless to Hell. You are deceiving yourself if you think no one minds your double standard of do what I say but not what I do. NO ONE ELSE IS BEING FOOLED! Not the folks you are messing with. Not the folks you are messing over. Not the folks you are messing up. Definitely NOT GOD! The only person you are fooling is YOU!
This is not a masquerade ball. This is not a joke. It is not a life or lifestyle to be entered into because it looks like a glamorous vocation to follow. The vast majority of what the truly called of God are called to do is not glamorous at all. To the young preachers coming on the scene, being a preacher or a sacred leader in the church of Jesus Christ is not child's play. It befuddles, hurts and yes at times enrages me that so many know so much about sacred vestments but no nothing about the stripping off one must do to first become a Christian and then the greater call of stripping called for to become a preacher of the Cross. There are so many wonderful careers you can have and not have to have the expectation of God, the church or the world to live a holy, sacred or sanctified life. If you are preaching and sinning just stop preaching until you have made a full commitment to stop sinning. You can be anything in the world but to be a preacher or a sacred leader in the church of Christ YOU MUST LIVE HOLY!
Preachers if you are not living what the Bible requires, guess what? You are NOT a preacher -- just a well dressed, well vested living breathing walking talking lie, foul smelling hypocrite and a divinely dressed fraudulent lying sinning hypocrite.
Get right, get yourself right or get out of the pulpit.
REPENT OR RETHINK YOUR CAREER CHOICE!
Heartbroken over the well dressed but unholy among us pretending to be Holy!
